Safe and secure carbon sequestration is our priority. Harvest Bend will inject and permanently store CO2 between 5,000 to 11,000 feet (1 to 2 miles) deep underground, in secure and regularly monitored geological formations.
Over time, trapped CO2 binds with elements of the surrounding rock through a process known as carbon mineralization. This chemical process permanently locks the injected CO2 into the rock formation and prevents its escape.
Harvest Bend will ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations for its CO2 sequestration operations. Harvest Bend is committed to safe operations and permanent sequestration and will maintain the highest standards for safety and monitoring across its entire project.
